Founded in 2008, Captûre was inspired by the historical legacy of Pine Mountain, the surrounding appellations, and the principles of land stewardship.
Captûre marries the notions of tradition and discovery, adapting classic Bordelais winemaking methods and customs to the rich history and frontier spirit of those who first farmed Sonoma County’s unknown mountains more than a century ago.
The style of Captûre’s small-production Sauvignon Blancs and Cabernet Sauvignons was established by renowned winemaking team May Britt and Denis Malbec, formerly of Château Latour in Bordeaux. That style now continues with the Jackson Family winemaking and viticultural teams.
The future of Captûre will evolve around its new Pine Mountain estate vineyard; pushing and pioneering the limits of Pine Mountain while creating world-class wines that speak to the rich Bordelais character within California’s mountain terroir.
